AI Professional Development Community

Founder/Organizer/Trainer

The AI Professional Development Community for Chinese Language Teachers in New York City is a dedicated initiative designed to empower educators with the knowledge, confidence, and practical strategies needed to integrate AI meaningfully into their classrooms. Through hands-on workshops, collaborative learning sessions, and real-world teaching applications, this community supports teachers in exploring how AI can enhance instruction, streamline lesson design, and personalize learning for diverse student needs. By building a supportive space for experimentation, reflection, and shared practice, the project aims to strengthen AI literacy among Chinese language educators and inspire innovative, future-ready teaching across NYC schools.

City of Refuge

Digital Literacy Instructor

At City of Refuge, I lead a community-centered digital literacy program designed to support refugees as they build the skills and confidence needed to navigate today’s technology-driven world. Through accessible, hands-on lessons tailored to learners’ diverse backgrounds and language needs, the program empowers participants to use digital tools for everyday tasks, education, employment, and community connection. More than a class, this initiative creates a safe and welcoming learning environment where refugees can explore new technologies, ask questions freely, and strengthen their agency as they rebuild their lives in the U.S.

AI-powered Virtual Patients

Project Role: System Design & Development, Data Collection, Data Analysis, Paper Writing

We designed an AI-enhanced virtual simulation to support first-year nursing students in building essential communication skills as part of their Introduction to Nursing curriculum. Developed using Unity and C#, this immersive training experience allows students to practice clinical conversations in a realistic, low-stakes environment—helping them gain confidence, receive immediate feedback, and strengthen their readiness for real-world patient interactions. This project combines innovative technology with evidence-based pedagogy to elevate nursing education and better prepare future healthcare professionals.
